Kerttu Varjo is the artistic alter ego of Kerttu Jaatinen — a name for her own films, writing, and art. Under this name, she explores genre cinema, horror, and feminist themes, blending fiction and experiment through painting, video, and performance.

Whereas Kerttu Jaatinen is the professional film editor and industry collaborator, Kerttu Varjo is a space for independent expression.

By working under two names, she distinguishes her freelance and industry roles from her own artistic and directional work, allowing both to exist freely on their own terms.
