Euphoria Borealis is a Finnish film community open to everyone interested in filmmaking. The community’s main focus is on the Kino Kabaret short film workshops. The workshops are open for everyone; no previous experience is required. In the workshops, participants present their ideas, form project groups, and shoot and edit their films within a timeframe of 48–72 hours depending on the approach of the workshop. The Euphoria Borealis screening showcases a selection of the best films created in these workshops in 2017. The screening features a wide range of genres from drama to documentary films Cosmonauts, from tributes to David Lynch noir Head Eraser to sci-fi Waveform, and from queer-hard emotions A Night In and Pursuit of Happiness to comedy Tram Theatre and societal commentary Funeral for the Welfare State. Euphoria Borealis encourages filmmakers to experiment and explore the opportunities of cinematic expression. In the workshops, participants have complete freedom to create their films using the method and genre of their choice.

Euphoria Borealis on kaikille avoin elokuvayhdistys, jonka perustoiminnan keskiössä on Kino Kabaret -lyhytelokuvatyöpajojen järjestäminen. Työpajoihin on tervetullut kuka tahansa, eikä aiempaa kokemusta tarvita. Osallistujat esittelevät ideansa, muodostavat työryhmät, kuvaavat ja leikkaavat elokuvansa työpajan tyylistä riippuen 48–72 tunnin aikaraamin sisällä. Tampereen elokuvajuhlien näytöksessä Euphoria Borealis esittelee helmiä vuoden 2017 työpajoista. Genret vaihtelevat puhtaasta draamasta dokumenttiin Cosmonauts, David Lynch noir -tribuutista Head Eraser scifiin Waveform, queer-hard -tunteista A Night In and Pursuit of Happiness komediaan Tram Theatre sekä yhteiskunnalliseen kommentaariin Funeral for the Welfare State. EB kannustaa elokuvantekijöitä kokeilemaan ja tutkimaan elokuvailmaisun mahdollisuuksia. Osallistujilla on täysi vapaus toteuttaa elokuvansa valitsemallaan metodilla ja tyylillä.
